Our Mold Remediation Process
BAS Restoration’s advanced mold remediation equipment allows our technicians to detect, isolate, and remediate the source of mold growth quickly. Our mold removal and remediation process is efficient and cost-effective.
1. Inspect and Plan
A BAS Restoration mold removal specialist will perform a visual mold inspection to evaluate the source of the infestation, the affected area, and other damage from water. We develop an individualized remediation plan, taking into consideration the impact on your daily life.
2. Contain
We then will contain affected areas to prevent any cross-contamination or mold spores from spreading throughout the property and identify any potential sources of water prior to beginning the mold remediation process.
3. Remove
We will discard any contaminated items such as carpet, drywall, cabinets, books, papers, upholstered furniture, drapes, or ceiling tiles.
4. Clean & Treat
We will dry building materials to industry standards, wire brush or sand wood framing to remove all hyphae (mold roots) and sanitize the air of mold spores and other particles with HEPA filters. We perform a final wipe down of the entire affected workspace with an EPA-approved antimicrobial solution.
5. Scrub
After treatment, we run air scrubbers to remove any airborne or particulate mold spores from the containment area.
